About us

We're a commercial and residential painting company handling both interior and exterior projects, from small residential jobs to larger commercial scopes. We're building out our social media presence and need a videographer who can capture our crews in action on real job sites.

We're not looking for cinema-grade production — but we want footage that clearly looks a step above a cell phone: steady, well-framed, sharp, and good-looking. Think "clean and professional-feeling raw footage," not a polished film.

What we're looking for

We need a flexible, reliable videographer who can shoot on an as-needed basis as our projects come up. Work happens on active job sites, so scheduling shifts with the flow of each project — we need someone who can be responsive and available when a shoot day lands.

What you'll be doing

Shoot short-form video for social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube) across our interior and exterior painting projects. Capture drone footage — we have one project currently in progress that needs aerial coverage, with more to come. Film a range of projects that highlight the different types of work we do, from residential interiors to commercial exteriors, at varying scopes. Film our staff doing their jobs on-site, plus short intro/"meet the team" clips where crew members introduce themselves. Deliver clean, well-shot raw footage — no editing required. We handle editing on our end; we just need good, usable clips

Requirements

FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certification (required) — drone work is a core part of this role and must be flown legally and insured. Your own quality camera and drone equipment (capable of clean, sharp, stabilized footage). Proven experience shooting good-looking video — please share a portfolio or samples. A good eye for framing, lighting, and steady shots (editing is not required, so the footage needs to look good straight out of the camera). Comfortable working around active job sites and following basic site safety. Local to Des Moines area with reliable transportation to job sites. Responsive communication and flexible availability as projects are scheduled

Nice to have

Experience filming construction, trades, or home-services businesses. Ability to film short talking-head / team-intro segments and direct on-camera subjects who aren't actors. An eye for what makes good social content (framing verticals for Reels/TikTok, capturing satisfying "before/after" and process moments)
