    Company Data Research Project - 400 Companies in 48 Hours

    ## About this project I am a solo B2B sales person (Account Executive) working for a software company. My job is to contact businesses and sell them software. Before I contact anyone, I need accurate information about each business, so I know which ones are worth my time and what to say to them. I have a list of around 400 companies. I need a team to research each one and fill in missing information using LinkedIn, the company website, and two simple tools (explained below). This is a brand new project for me, so there may be some back and forth in the first day or two while we get the process right. I need a team that can be flexible and adjust quickly if I ask for small changes. **Please do not apply if you are a solo freelancer working alone. I need a team that can work in parallel, because the deadline is tight.** ## Why accuracy matters more than speed This data decides who I contact and what I say to them. If the data is wrong, I email or call the wrong person with the wrong message. That wastes my time, makes my company look bad, and the business will probably never want to hear from us again. So: please go slowly enough to be accurate. A blank box is always better than a guessed answer. ## The work For each company, you will be given: - Company name - Company website - Company LinkedIn page You will research and find **11 pieces of information** per company: 1. Does the website work properly, or is it broken, or does it redirect somewhere else 2. If it redirects to a new website address, what is that new address 3. The company's main office phone number 4. Total number of employees (from LinkedIn) 5. Number of employees with "Marketing" in their job title 6. Number of employees with "Sales", "Business Development", "Account Executive", or "Revenue" in their job title 7. Current job adverts the company has posted (just the job titles) 8. Monthly website traffic (you will need a tool to measure this like similarweb) 9. CRM software the company currently uses, e.g. Salesforce, Pipedrive (using a tool called BuiltWith if you have it) 10. Marketing software the company currently uses, e.g. Mailchimp (using BuiltWith) 11. Customer service software the company currently uses, e.g. Zendesk (using BuiltWith) You will receive a spreadsheet with clear, simple instructions for every single column, with examples. No guessing required, just follow the steps. **Tools needed:** BuiltWith (to check software) and a website traffic checking tool. I will tell you which ones to use and give access if needed. If you already have access to these tools please let me know. ## Timeline - Companies will be sent to you as a spreadsheet - I need all 400 companies completed within **48 hours** of our kickoff call - Kickoff call will happen on either: - **Wednesday 1st July, between 2pm and 6pm BST**, or - **Thursday 2nd July, between 2pm and 6pm BST** I do not know yet which day, it depends on when I get free time. Please confirm you are available for both, in case it ends up being Thursday. ## Possible future work (not part of this project yet) If this first phase goes well, there may be more work after: - **Phase 2:** Finding 3-4 contact people per company (names, job titles, emails) for the same 400 companies - **Ongoing work:** After that, around 200 new companies per month, on a regular basis We will only discuss this after the first phase is finished accurately. Please don't quote for this yet, just keep it in mind. ## One more thing, optional Most of this project is simple data collection, clear yes/no or number answers. But I may also be interested in a second type of work later: more judgement-based research, for example looking into a company's recent funding, acquisitions, or business changes. This needs more reading and understanding, not just copying numbers into boxes. If your team has people who are confident doing this kind of research in English, let me know. This is a separate, optional thing, not part of the main project. ## What I need from you before I choose a team Please answer all of these: 1. How many people could you put on this project, working at the same time 2. How many of the 400 companies could your team realistically finish within 48 hours 3. Your price, quoted **per company** (not per hour), based on the 11 data points listed above 4. Can you confirm your team is available for the kickoff call on Wednesday 1st July OR Thursday 2nd July, 2pm to 6pm BST 5. Can you confirm the full 400 companies can be completed and returned to me within 48 hours of the kickoff call 6.
